(Courtesy of Moriah) On Thursday night, October 26, the incredible seventh grade girls of Moriah came together and rolled up their sleeves to bake over 1,100 cookies. The event came together as Yael Fischman, their bat sheirut had reached out that her brother Hallel’s IDF unit was in need of funds for important supplies. The girls thought it would be great to bake cookies for Shabbat to raise money for Hallel! The night began with Yael describing what Hallel’s unit does, followed by Tehillim for the IDF and reciting the tefillah for Tzahal. The girls made a video for Hallel’s troop with good wishes and words of encouragement.
The amazing girls embraced each moment as all of them have been wanting to support Israel any way they can. Yael was beyond grateful and so touched by this genuine gesture of love and support for her and her brother’s unit. The girls delivered the cookies and raised over $2,200! The girls were so proud of their hard work and will all continue to pray for the hostages, the safety of the soldiers and all of Am Yisroel.
