TABC Varsity Hockey Enjoys Back-to-Back Wins

(TABC) The TABC varsity hockey team hosted the MTA Lions on Monday night, November 13, hoping to bounce back quickly after their disappointing loss two nights prior at Frisch. It didn’t take long for them to strike with Aryeh Eizikovitz scoring less than two minutes into the game. The junior linemate trio of Aiden Rauzman, Bentzion Keiser and Aryeh Simon then did some serious damage to give the Storm a commanding 4-0 lead at the end of the first period. MTA tacked on two goals to begin the second period to make things a little interesting, but TABC responded with seven unanswered goals. Freshman goaltender Sol Sandel made a cameo in the final five minutes of the game and gave up no goals. The Storm won by a final score of 11-2. The team then traveled to Riverdale, on Thursday night to take on the SAR Sting for their third game in five days. The defending champions SAR knocked them out of the playoffs last year and the Storm were looking for revenge. TABC came firing immediately off the face-off with Rauzman, scoring from halfcourt less than three minutes into the game and senior Shay Fields only a few seconds later to double the lead. Keiser and captain Matis Krause added goals as the Storm held an impressive 4-0 lead at the first intermission. Rauzman and Keiser then added two goals each in the second period and that was all she wrote. The varsity hockey Storm improved their record to 4-1.
