Rebecca Lopkin and Sari Sheinfeld’s Holocaust Studies students visited Cafe Europa this week to celebrate Chanukah. Cafe Europa is a social-support group for Holocaust survivors with chapters throughout the tri-state area. There was singing, dancing and dreidel playing and Rabbi Jake Berman accompanied the students with his guitar as they sang “Al HaNissim” for the crowd. Students then had the opportunity to talk with the survivors and hear their incredible stories.
