JFS of MetroWest ‘Back to School Series’ Is Back By Popular Demand

Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ understands that back-to-school season is a hectic and stressful time for parents and children each year, as certain transition points in school can be particularly challenging. To help alleviate some of the anxiety, JFS is pleased to announce that it is offering a second round of its “Back to School Series.” If your child is transitioning into kindergarten, middle or high school, we have informative and free workshops to prepare you and your children. The workshops will take place each evening September 26–28 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the JFS office located at 256 Columbia Turnpike, Suite 105, in Florham Park.

On September 26, we are hosting “Your Child Is in Kindergarten—Now What?” for parents of children who have just entered kindergarten. On September 27, we invite parents to “Navigating the Ins and Outs of High School” for those with teens who have just started high school. On September 28, we are hosting “Reducing Middle School Stress” for parents of new middle schoolers.

All workshops are open to the community and are being offered free of charge. Each program will be facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker from our Child and Adolescent Department, specifically trained to deal with the unique needs of children and adolescents. For more information about the workshops or to register, please call 973-765-9050. For more information on JFS Child and Adolescent Services, please visit our website at www.jfsmetrowest.org.
