Math is more fun when you approach it like solving a puzzle. Students in Morah Lauren’s math classes often begin class with a challenge puzzle, in which students find the values of unknown pictures. Based on the Order of Operations (PEMDAS), students work backwards to then solve a final computation problem, using the picture values. Over Chanukah and in the days that followed, students were tasked with creating their own puzzles and then having their peers solve them.
