The Torah Engineering elective for seniors, Merging Halachic Judaism with Modern Life, kicked off with a Skype lesson from Rav Binyamin Zimmerman, director of the Zomet Institute in Israel, in the 21st century laboratory. The elective explores the crossroads of halacha and technology in the modern world, and is run in partnership with the Zomet Institute, which finds Shabbat-friendly technological solutions to modern dilemmas.
