This past Monday, the Noam Knights seventh and eighth-grade girl’s basketball team defeated the Yavneh Red Hawks and as a result, they will be heading into the championships, with an undefeated record of 10-0. This wouldn’t have been possible without our incredibly talented team led by our top scorers, Lielle Skoczylas, Meira Walzman, Libby Fischer, Arielle Fleischman, Emme Wallach and Hannah Ashendorf. Under the leadership of Coach S. (Leora Sulimanoff), the team has shown great talent in both offense and defense. Davida Lefkowitz. Hannah Ashendorf, Ayelet Strulowitz, Eliana Luber, Hodaya Ciner, Kira Furer, Leora Halpert, Nessya Edell, Nili Rothenberg and Orly Hoffer make up the rest of the Noam Knights seventh and eighth-grade girl’s basketball team and add so much to the team. They are incredible defenders, hustle constantly, share the ball resulting in great assists and utilize both layups and outside shots. They all show great teamwork and great midot during the games.
The Noam Knights are not only proud of their on-court achievement, but also of the achduet they have created. Each game begins with the singing of “Hatikvah,” together with their opponents, in solidarity with friends and family in Israel. May we see a swift, peaceful end to the war and the safe return of all the hostages.
