This summer, more than 40 TABC alumni and faculty suited up in the TABC gym every week for the inaugural TABC Alumni Intramural Hockey League.
The brainchild of Michael Levy (class of ’12), the league was started to keep the alumni community connected to each other and TABC while providing a fun outlet every Thursday night. The league was a huge success—the games were highly competitive while players remained respectful and good sportsmanship was maintained. Both semi-final games were overtime thrillers and the championship was a tight, one-goal affair. The hockey was great but it was the bonding with former classmates that made it even better.
“It really was a treat to be able to partake in this league,” said Shmuel Levy (’14). “I was able to reconnect with some fellow students I had not seen in a few years and I had a great time doing it.”
There is already interest in continuing the league next summer and a chance there might even be a new season in the fall. Many thanks to Michael Levy for his tireless work organizing and running the league. For more information, contact [email protected].
