First Graders Report On Tamim Field Trip

Tamim Academy of NYC first graders enjoyed becoming journalists for a day, jointly writing this article about their recent trip to the Brooklyn Jewish Children’s Museum, specifically to submit to The Jewish Link.

“On Tuesday, we went on a trip to the Jewish Children‘s Museum in Brooklyn. Before we left, we ate a special breakfast so that we wouldn‘t get hungry on the trip. We traveled on a yellow school bus to the museum. When we arrived, we first went to the Chocolate Factory where we learned how chocolate is made, and we even made our own chocolate pops. They were so good! Next we went to Noah’s teiva and Avraham’s tent where we heard Avraham welcoming his guests. Then we visited the museum supermarket where we learned about brachot, and the Jewish holiday exhibit where we played games to learn about the chagim. We also loved playing in the ball pit and on the slide in the play area. Just before we left, we ate our lunch before we got back on the bus to drive back to school. It was the funnest day ever!”
