JKHA Students Learn About Hakarat Hatov

First graders at JKHA have begun to learn the meaning behind the Tefillot that they say each morning. They start out each day by saying Modeh Ani. The children brainstormed many of the things for which they are most thankful. Among many other ideas, they expressed the idea that they are thankful for the State of Israel and our soldiers. These first graders made special Shana Tova cards for chayalim in Israel, to show our gratitude and appreciation for all that they do to protect our Land and our people. Their cards will be sent to Israel to be distributed in time for Rosh Hashanah.
