This week the children at Shalom Yeladim learned about Shabbat. The pre-k class made beautiful challah covers. The toddlers made yummy Shabbat cupcakes and decorated them themselves. All the classes also enjoyed a visit from Ms. Kate, one of the librarians from the Maurice M. Pine Library on Fair Lawn Avenue. She read books, sang songs with puppets and talked to the children about what a library is and what a librarian does. All the classes also continued to care for and water the plants they planted on Tu B’Shevat.
