In the letter that Mark Rosenberg wrote, he had absolutely nothing positive to say about former President Trump (“Donald Trump, and Villain and a Racist,” January 25, 2024). From the day he took office the Democratic party blamed, criticized, sued,
indicted and took him to court every chance they had. Trump could have been retired and having a great life with his wealth at Mar-a-Lago. Instead he had been giving all his strength, know-how and wisdom to make not only America safe but other countries as well. Trump is crass and rude and doesn’t always speak presidentially. I believe that is because he was never a politician. Even so, my concern for a president is: How will my life be with an elected president?
When Trump was in office the economy was spiraling up. People could still buy a home. You didn’t have to fear that the dollar would be replaced or to keep your money in a bank. You could say out loud what party you prefer and criticize any politician or any laws they made without being silenced or fired. Trump was the only president in office who moved the embassy of the United States to Jerusalem after almost every other sitting president promised to do so and didn’t.
There were no wars when Trump was president. World leaders feared and respected him. Our borders are now open to fentanyl that is now pouring into our country and killing our children. The border is open to sex traffickers and gangs that threaten the illegals they help to get to America to join their gangs or they will do harm to their families. I would like Trump to speak in a more politically correct and presidential way. On the other hand I would rather have someone like Trump who will keep us as safe as possible.
Mr. Rosenberg says that Trump has no respect for women. The current administration doesn’t seem to be vetting the illegals and that allows rapists and sex traffickers into our country. If the present administration had respect for women, this would not be happening. Also, our young soldiers are being killed because they are being sent to places of extreme conflict and hatred for America.
I want a president in office who loves America and puts his desires and ambitions first and foremost for this country.
