(TABC sports) It was an exciting weekend for TABC’s Hockey program as the JV team held its annual shabbaton and both JV and varsity teams hosted the YDE Thunder in a Motzei Shabbos doubleheader matchup. While the JV team was already mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, the game offered an opportunity to end the season on a high note. Down 7-5 with 43 seconds remaining, Gavriel Saks ’26 and AJ Mandel ’27 scored two quick goals while the goalie was pulled, sending the gym into pandemonium. While YDE were able to regroup and eventually win the game in OT, TABC’s JV team will be back and better than ever next year!

On the varsity side, the team made easy work of YDE, winning by a final score of 11-2. The highlight of the night was after the second intermission. Each senior was recognized and received a framed picture of himself in action on the court. TABC will miss their nine graduating seniors and thank them for all they did for Storm hockey. Mazal tov to Ezra Alter, Max Borger, Lazer Cohen, Amichai Dresdner, Shay Fields, Ari Herman, Matis Krause, Chanina Nussbaum and Benny Zelig!

The varsity squad now gears up for the playoffs, during which they have home-court advantage throughout and will look to make a deep run to win their first championship in eight years.
