In the Stein Yeshiva early childhood, the parshios provide the foundation for learning adventure each week. The kinderlach in the three-year-olds class explored the intricate details of the Mishkan, Hashem’s traveling home, and discovered how every piece came together. The little artisans worked together and let their imaginations soar to construct their own representation of the Mishkan. They examined soft fabrics, precious metals like melted gold and silver that the Morah brought in, items similar to the gifts Moshe collected to make the kelim for the Mishkan. The children were excited to give coins and beautiful cloth just like their ancestors did so long ago.
In a math connection, the children counted the sides and identified the shapes used in the construction of the Mishkan. Even the kinderlach in the Twos made a contribution as they made “jewelry” to “donate” to the Mishkan, developing their fine motor skills along the way.
