In honor of the holiday of Simchat Torah, Moriah’s Early Childhood students took a trip to the Beit Knesset and had a chance to see the Torahs up close. Rabbi Keussous of the Moriah Sephardic Program showed them a Sephardic Torah and an Ashkenazic Torah. Even though the two Torahs look different from the outside we know that both Torahs have exactly the same words inside. We are excited to start learning parsha from the very beginning of the Torah when we return to school!
