(SAR sports) The SAR HS varsity ice hockey team won their first-ever league championship on Sunday. The players worked tirelessly and played in two leagues throughout the season. Senior Sam L., said, “Hockey is life; I’d like to thank my mom and my dad and God.” The team came out with a victory against Riverbank 10-3, winning the championship. As senior Avielle S. explained, “I’m so proud of how far this team has come. Winning the championship was the best way to end my high school career.”
