RYNJ’s first Project Chayal murals were hand-delivered to Israel this week! The posters began in the RYNJ halls, where they were filled by students with notes of mitzvos that they took upon themselves in the merit of the safety of our precious soldiers. The murals were then taken to Israel by RYNJ faculty, and delivered by an RYNJ morah to the Shuva Junction, a rest area for soldiers going in and out of Gaza. The soldiers and the volunteers at the Shuva Junction were stunned by the overwhelming number of notes on the poster, each one representing a student’s heartfelt commitment to doing something extra in the merit of our brothers and sisters. The murals have been hung up on the walls to provide chizuk for all who pass through, and it is the sincere hope that this outpouring of these childrens tefillos and chesed will have a positive impact on the safety of our chayalim and those still held in captivity.
