Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

As Teacher Appreciation Week unfolded at Westchester Day School, the school community came together to express הכרת הטוב for our dedicated WDS educators. From Monday’s observance of Yom HaShoah, with donations collected and made in teachers’ names to Thursday’s special faculty lunch, each day of the week was marked by thoughtful gestures of appreciation. The WDS PTA provided treats and even a coffee cart to kick-start teachers’ days! To end the week and move into Shabbat on a high, ganon through eighth grade students delivered personalized letters of gratitude with accompanying pictures to our teachers. It really does take a village to raise a child. Our teachers understand the importance of empowering our students to develop a strong sense of self. Beyond academic achievements, and with the guidance of the Torah and Jewish learning, our teachers focus on character development and personal growth. The balance of Judaic learning and general studies ensures that our students leave WDS not only academically prepared but also with a deep understanding of their own Jewish values and beliefs. We appreciate the unwavering commitment of all of our WDS educators who provide the light in all that we do. Kol hakavod to all those involved!
