Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey to Celebrate 79th Annual Dinner

Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey will hold its 79th annual dinner on Sunday, January 15, at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck. Adeena and Yair Mayerfeld are guests of honor, and Rabbi Avrohom Schnall will receive the Educator of the Year Award.

Guests of Honor Adeena and Yair Mayerfeld are true pillars of RYNJ leadership. In their uniquely generous and modest style, Adeena and Yair personify what it means to be community leaders and builders. Adeena served as president of the RYNJ-PTA from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Adeena became the co-chair of the board of education. For the past six years, she has served on the board of directors and is currently the administrative vice president. Adeena is an adviser to the board president and to Rabbi Price on almost every major education and policy-related issue. Yair, a corporate partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, has provided our board of directors with invaluable counsel and insight. In addition to legal guidance, we have been fortunate to benefit from Yair’s expert editing and writing skills. The Mayerfelds’ passion for education and community involvement is reflected in every leadership role they have taken on. Yair has just completed serving a two-year term as president of Congregation Beth Aaron in Teaneck. Adeena and Yair were instrumental in the building of Teaneck’s Sterling Place Friday Night Mikvah, and Adeena continues to oversee operations and maintenance of the mikvah. Living in close proximity to Holy Name Hospital, the Mayerfelds are frequently called upon by Bikur Cholim and are always ready to house Shabbos guests who need to be close to family in the hospital. Adeena and Yair are the proud parents of Noam, RYNJ ‘15 and Dassi, RYNJ ‘17.
