This past Sunday, students in BCHSJS young leadership class were visited by Dr. Mira Rosen and Sharon Mann, who visited New Jersey this week as part of Partnership2Gether’s medical delegation from Nahariya, Israel. Sharon Mann, from Nahariya’s Galilee Medical Center, spoke to the students about how the hospital treats Syrians injured in the country’s civil war. Dr. Mira Rosen spoke about her best friend’s son who at 16 years old was a volunteer firefighter and was killed in a fire that was purposely set six years ago. The visit was quite an eye-opening and educational experience for the students.
