(TABC sports) On Sunday, May 19, the TABC Storm Track team clinched their ninth consecutive title at the MYSHAL championship meet against seven other schools. The race took place at Riverside Park South in North Arlington, New Jersey, on a sunny day with temperatures reaching 75 F.

Leading the way for TABC was senior co-captain Ezra Alter who came in first place in three separate events. Ezra beat 23 other runners in the 100M dash with a time of 12.51 seconds, 24 other runners in the 200M sprint in 25.45 seconds, and 16 other runners in the 400M run in a blazing 58.05 seconds! His co-captain Eytan Kirschenbaum ’24 claimed first place over 15 other runners in the mile race, breaking the Yeshiva League all-time mile record with a time of five minutes and seven seconds. Eytan also came in second place out of 15 runners in the 800M race with a time of two minutes and 16 seconds. Adding to TABC’s point tally, junior Yakir Adams took second place in the 200M (25.99 seconds) and third place in the 100M (12.62 seconds), junior co-captain Aryeh Simon took fourth place in both the 400M (1:02) and 800M (2:24), and junior Akiva Mittel ’25 came in fifth place in the 400M with a time of one minute and two seconds.

Other notable placings included sophomore Ezzi Hamburger at seventh in the 400M (1:04), freshman Aden Ifraimov at seventh in the 100M (13.32) and mile (6:07), sophomore Netanel Kalb at eighth in the mile (6:18), freshman Moshe Rosenfeld at 11th in the 200M (29.55), junior co-captain Daniel Lechter at 12th in the 200M (29.65) and 400M (1:13), freshman Shmaya Wallerstein at 12th in the 100M (13.90), junior Shamai Bernstein at 15th in the mile (7:32), and freshman Joey Jawetz at 20th in the 100M (14.85).

Overall, TABC came in first place with a total of 72 points, 38 ahead of second-place SAR. After the meet, the TABC Storm team headed to 7-Eleven for refreshing celebratory Slurpees. TABC’s track team is looking forward to next season, hoping to make it a decade straight as reigning champions.
