The Westchester Day School fourth graders transported us back to Colonial America this week with their Colonial Wax Museum. Using note taking and research skills developed throughout the year, students spent the spring learning their colonial trades. These trades came to life on a beautiful May morning as a milliner, candlemaker, blacksmith, tanner and others awoke out of their wax forms to present their crafts to guests. The students were professional and poised, and attendees commented on how much they learned. What a great morning at WDS!
