In a climate where Jewish students are increasingly facing anti-Israel hostilities on college campuses, students in the JEC’s Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy are taking advantage of their high school years to train and prepare as effective advocates for the Jewish State.
Earlier this year, students formed an Israel Advocacy committee and engaged Stand With Us’ Paul Friedman as their mentor. The group meets to review and practice advocacy techniques through video screenings, role playing and interactive sessions. This week, over twenty-five students dedicated their lunch break to the discussion and analysis of recent UN resolutions against Israel. Members of the committee are charged with sharing information they learned with their classmates so that the entire school is prepared for graduation and the world beyond high school.
