RYNJ Student Council Launches a New Program

The student council of RYNJ launched a new program entitled CFF- Chesed, Food and Fun with friends. On Wednesday evening, February 1, they had their first CFF event- a fun-filled night when the girls enjoyed a delicious Dougies dinner, an exciting spirit- filled Kahoot game and a meaningful chesed project.

After eating in the beautifully decorated lunchroom, the girls played RYNJ trivia Kahoot. Then the girls, led by Morah Silver and Gabriella Bak, Chesed 24/7 RYNJ student coordinator, and the chesed shark tank committee, packed Tu B’Shevat packages for hospitalized patients and their families. In addition, the girls watched a video explaining the incredible work that Chesed 24/7 does. Whether stocking rooms in hospitals for families to stay in over Shabbat, or supplying rooms in hospitals with all the necessities for Jewish families stuck in the hospital, Chesed 24/7 can always be counted on, and it was an honor to take part in their amazing acts of kindness. “The chesed that this organization does is unbelievable and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to contribute,” said Esti Sheffey a seventh grader at RYNJ, after the event. Everyone had a blast. “I had so much fun with my friends and can’t wait for the next CFF!” said sixth grader Kayla Felman. All the girls really enjoyed the CFF event and the student council is already planning ahead for the next one.
