BPY students began their celebration of Tu B’Shevat with a short skit presented by the Judaic studies teachers and b’not sherut. Following the skit, the students rotated through four stations, where they learned about all different types of trees that provide fruit, and then got to eat their own fruit salads. The eighth grade students prepared a Tu B’Shevat Bingo game for the elementary school students, and also played “Guess the Fruit,” where students were blindfolded as they guessed what was fed to them. The students learned about some of the trees and flowers found in Israel and created their own replicas using all different colored papers. Finally, the students received their own small flower pots, added seeds and soil and planted flowers for their families to enjoy at home.
