RKYHS students concluded the “Kushner Climb” this week. In each of the weeks leading up to Shavuot, the high school has been focusing on a specific mitzvah to help students continue to grow to new heights in their mitzvot. The last week’s focus is on talmud Torah. Previous week’s have focused on the mitzvot of brachot, shemirat halashon, and kavod Shabbat. Each week there were associated activities to help support the week’s focus like challah bakes, opportunities for more brachot, dedicating time for not speaking lashon hara, and more. In addition to performing each mitzvah for their own personal growth, all the mitzvot that will be done during the climb have been l’ilui nishmat the soldiers in the IDF that have given their life on October 7 and in the months of the war since then.
