Lower school students have been counting the days of school and eagerly awaiting the 100th day. Classes marked the day participating in a variety of activities including creating art using 100 items; writing 100 tally marks; coming up with 100 adjectives, nouns and verbs; and playing math games designed around the number 100.

These types of activities give the teachers and students a celebratory way to focus on mathematics for the day. On the 100th day, students have the opportunity to think critically about numbers and be inspired by the power of math with age-appropriate activities all the way from nursery to fourth grade.
