Can we Teaneck/Bergenfield residents rely on police alone to protect us? Almost every established Orthodox community over a certain population has a Shomrim which can often respond faster than police can in case of emergency. We are seeing numerous stories in Brooklyn, Monsey and Los Angeles of Shomrim safety patrols defending the lives of Jews before police arrive at the scene. It’s time for a Shomrim to be established in Bergen County.
