This Shabbat, July 13, at 6:55 p.m. at Keter Torah, 600 Roemer Ave., Teaneck, Rabbi Steven Weil will speak on “The Rise and Fall of French Jewry.”
Rabbi Weil, chief executive officer of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), attended Yeshiva University, concurrently completing his ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (REITS) and a master’s degree in business administration from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Rabbi Weil began his career teaching and then moved to pulpit work, first in Michigan and then in Beverly Hills. In 2009, Rabbi Weil and his family returned to the East Coast to assume the position of senior managing director of the Orthodox Union, where for 11 years, he led their institutional advancement and community engagement efforts.
