Moshava Ba’ir MetroWest Makes Magic

What a spectacular first session of summer 2024 at Moshava Ba’ir MetroWest! All the chanichim (campers) and tzevet (staff) were so excited to enjoy another summer of fun on the beautiful Kushner campus! What could have been a rough first day due to local power outages ended in an awesome time for all with a last minute trip to see “Inside Out 2”—one of the highlights of the summer.

Chanichim were excited to return to their favorite anafim (specialties), including bishul (cooking), maabada (science), rikkud (dance), and melechet yad (art). The chinuch theme this year is “Mi K’amcha Yisrael, Who is like Your nation, Israel,” for Moshava Ba’ir day camps across the U.S. and Canada. This theme highlights the light in the darkness of these past 10 months. The weekly themes each capture another aspect of this idea and tie into experiential activities for the chanichim, at their own age-appropriate level.

Chanichim enjoyed amazing trips like a magic show with Extreme Magic’s Eric Wilzig, a trip to the zoo and the Liberty Science Centert, extreme water tag Monster Mini Golf, “The Lion King” play from the Fresh Theater Performance group, and of course the famous Olympiada games!
