LPS Gets a Visit From The New York Historical Society

This week the kindergartners through second graders of Lubavitch on the Palisades School were treated to a special presentation from the New York Historical Society. Last year a group of students went to the Historical Society in New York in order to enjoy the exhibit entitled “The Art and Whimsy of Mo Willems.” Mo Willems is a children’s author who is known for his humor and his silly characters. This year the program “All Things Mo” came to LPS. Daniela Pamplona, outreach educator, presented and shared with first and second grade students. She showed that even the simplest drawings can convey robust characters, emotive stories and much more. This was done through a PowerPoint presentation, various activities, a read aloud and an art activity.
