Last week the Yeshiva University Athletic Department partnered with UpliftNYC, a nonprofit dedicated to providing low and moderate income individuals with access to education, health, cultural and legal aid programs, to put on a special basketball clinic.

The clinic brought together 35 local Washington Heights middle schoolers to play basketball in the Yeshiva University gym and get one-on-one training from the players and coaches. YU is dedicated to participating in the Washington Heights community, and this is just another example of how the university, and in this case the athletic department, strives to work with local nonprofits and programs to make Washington Heights better and stronger.

Schools that participated include, but are not limited to, PS 132, Incarnation MS, Inwood Academy and PS 48.
