The JKHA boys middle school Torah Bowl team brought home the win when they competed in the Torah Bowl playoffs, which took place at the Jewish Educational Center in Elizabeth. The boys team came into the playoffs with a first place ranking and faced off against RPRY for the division championship. In two hard fought battles, the boys used their vast knowledge of the chumash and Rashi to pull out a victory and repeat as division champions. They will join three other division champions from New York and New Jersey in May to determine the winner of Junior Torah Bowl for the 2016-2017 season.
“Though all Torah learning is a remarkable accomplishment, it is especially gratifying to see our students acknowledged for the ameilut and dedication they displayed throughout the year and for their breadth of Torah knowledge,” commented Rabbi Dovid Sukenik, mashgiach ruchani at JKHA middle school and Torah Bowl faculty adviser.
