Moshava Ba’ir MetroWest Packs in the Fun

Moshava Ba’Ir Metrowest had a fun-filled past two weeks at camp, with even more exciting trips and activities!

In week five, the upper division chanichim (campers) went to a Somerset Patriots ballgame where they caught baseballs and T-shirts. Lower divisions went to Imagine That, a children’s museum where the chanichim enjoyed playing and exploring in the different workshops. In chinuch, theme was Eretz Yisrael, and the chanichim learnt about different places in the country, and how special and important our Jewish homeland is.

Week six kicked off with the next chinuch theme, Tzahal, so the chanichim could connect to the  Jewish army through a variety of activities in the anafim (electives). The chanichim practiced training exercises and races, while in moadon (workshop), they made army dog tags, each with their own message written on it. In bishul and afiya, they baked yummy cinnamon rolls and made tuna croquettes.

Two more exciting events this week were Olympiada and the Moshava IO overnight! In Olympiada, each eidah (bunk)  represented a different country and after creating their own flag, they competed against each other in sports such as handball, cricket and soccer. Everyone was a gold medalist at MBMW Olympiada! Later in the week, upper divisions went on their overnight to Moshava IO for two days filled with cheers, bonfires and fun with the other camp that joined—Moshava Ba’Ir Long Island
