Highland Park’s Congregation Ohav Emeth will screen “Legend Of Destruction,” an award-winning film by Gidi Dar (director of “Ushpizin”) and endorsed by RZA-World Mizrachi, for Tisha B’Av.

Based on historical events, Talmudic aggadot, and the accounts of Josephus Flavius, “Legend of Destruction” is a haunting tale of historical events that culminated in the destruction of the Second Beit Hamikdash. The movie depicts the dangers of greed, social injustice, corruption, polarization, political hubris and religious fanaticism in the name of God in the lead-up to the destruction in 70 CE.

The showing will take place on Sunday, August 11 (the night before Tisha B’Av) at 415 Raritan Ave, Highland Park, at 8:15 p.m. (following Maariv).
