JKHA Seventh Grade Tours American and Jewish History in Philly

The JKHA seventh grade explored historical Philadelphia. They began their day at the Franklin Institute where they experienced some fun, engaging and hands-on exhibits. Next, the seventh grade had an eye-opening visit where they learned about the beginnings of Jewry in America at the National Museum of American Jewish History. They were able to visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and learned about the writing and signing of the Constitution. Finally, the students were privileged to see “Freedom Rising” at the National Constitution Center which complemented their knowledge of the Bill of Rights. It was a great way to expand the learning that occurs in the classroom, while spending the day bonding with teachers and friends.
