An exhibit of Holocaust-themed monuments and sculpture by Dr. Milton Ohring, a Teaneck resident and former professor of metallurgy and materials science at the Stevens Institute of Technology, will take place in the Samuel C. Williams Library of Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey. The exhibit, entitled “The Holocaust in Metal and Stone,” will open on Sunday, April 16 (last day chol hamoed Passover, and Easter Sunday), and an artist’s reception will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (Kosher-for-Passover food will be provided.) The exhibit is in response to the alarming increase of worldwide anti-Semitism as well as Holocaust forgetfulness, distortion and even denial as a result of the inevitable decline in the numbers of survivors and witnesses of the murder of six million Jews during the Second World War. Dr. Ohring has created these works to enable viewers never to forget the unprecedented events that occurred in this genocide. The exhibit will run until July 1.

Stevens Institute is located in Hoboken, New Jersey on the Hudson River between the Lincoln Tunnel near its northern border, and the Holland Tunnel at its southern border. Once in Hoboken, go to 9th Street and head east toward the Hudson river. As you enter the campus on 9th Street there might be parking (only on Easter Sunday) near the Stevens Center (the tallest building on campus). As the road curves around at the Center and heads back west on 8th Street you will reach the north parking area entrance on your left. The Samuel C. Williams library is located west of or opposite to the Stevens Center and is close to both parking areas.
