Migdal Ohr Plans Annual Gala Dinner

Migdal Ohr, Israel’s premier education-focused organization for underprivileged, orphaned, abused and new immigrant children, will hold its Annual Gala Dinner on Wednesday, May 10, at Convene in New York City. Supporters from across the tristate area were invited to attend and raise funds to “Un-Risk an At-Risk Israeli Child,” while also honoring distinguished supporters who have contributed significantly to the success of the organization over its nearly 45-year history.

Migdal Ohr is proud to recognize four honorees at this annual event. Mother-daughter duo Marilyn Sopher and Lisa Sopher-Deutsch of Riverdale, New York and New York City (respectively) will be receiving the “Midor L’Dor Generations Award.” Dr. Chaim and Anne Bernstein of Lawrence, New York will be receiving the “Tower of Light Award.” Shalom and Megan Auerbach, also of Lawrence, New York, will be receiving the inaugural “Bayit Ne’eman B’Yisrael—Bridal Fund Award.” Tzvi Solomon of Teaneck, New Jersey, will be receiving the “Lev Tov Young Leadership Award.”

The evening will pay tribute to these supporters and will also include a special program featuring Migdal Ohr’s founder and dean and Israel Prize winner, Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman. Emmy-winning NY1 news reporter Michael Herzenberg will be the Master of Ceremonies.
