LPS students in grades five through seven participated in a commemoration of Yom HaShoah. Led by Mrs. Davis, there was a candle lighting ceremony, a reading of poetry and individual accounts and final remarks and prayers. The students were mature, reflective and sensitive. Sixth grader Eliya Eini brought in various items like identification cards that she received at the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
