The semester kicks off on Monday, September 9 with Dean Rachel Friedman’s renowned parshanut class. This fall, she will guide students through an in-depth exploration of Parshanut HaMikra on Sefer Bereishit: The Generations of Yaakov and His Children. This women-only class, running from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom, offers a blend of chavruta preparation and an interactive shiur with enthusiastic discussion. Special in-person days will be announced as the semester progresses. New students are encouraged to join.

At 1 p.m. on Mondays, beginning September 9, Rabbi Hayyim Angel will debut his new course, Perspectives on Sefer Yonah. Open to both men and women, this engaging five-part series will be conducted over Zoom and is sure to provide a fresh perspective on this topic in time for Yom Kippur.

Starting September 10, Tuesday mornings will proudly feature Rabbi Gedalyah Berger’s analytical class on Gemara Kiddushin, Perek 2. Together with Rabbi Berger, students will explore the fundamentals of agency (shelichut) in the halachic system. Available both in-person and via Zoom, this course runs from 9-11 a.m. and continues throughout the year.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September and October, Lamdeinu is excited to introduce special High Holiday classes designed to deepen knowledge and enhance preparation for a more spiritual holiday season. On Tuesday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning September 10, Rabbi Yitzchak Etshalom will Zoom in from California with a five-part series offering insights on the Torah readings of the High Holidays and Sukkot. This enlightening series is open to men and women and is sure to enhance your kavana during the holiday season.
