Moriah Makes Shaving Cream Art

In a recent Moriah first-grade art project, students explored abstract art using a fun, hands-on approach. They mixed shaving cream with food coloring to create swirling patterns, then pressed paper onto the mixture to capture unique, colorful designs. This introduced them to abstract art concepts, focusing on shapes, colors and textures. The project sparked creativity and allowed students to experiment with color mixing, while also developing sensory and fine motor skills. The playful activity provided an enjoyable and meaningful introduction to abstract expression.
