Yossi and Ruchi Stern invited members of the Highland Park/Edison community to an event to celebrate the long-awaited opening of the newly constructed state-of-the art Yeshiva Shaarei Tzion girls school on Sunday evening, September 8, and hundreds came out to participate in the festive occasion.
The girls school will house the Yeshiva Shaarei Tzion preschool and the elementary and middle school for girls in grades K-8. Named the Shaje Weiss Torah Education Campus, the girls school relocated from Piscataway and is now located on Cleveland Avenue in Highland Park. The dedication event featured tours of the new campus, a buffet dinner, and program with distinguished speakers.
School officials told The Jewish Link that the school’s construction took two years to complete and they were grateful for the Borough’s support of the project. Approximately 275 students will attend the girls school, which includes a science lab, five learning centers, a full library, a preschool gym, administration offices on both floors, an outdoor play area, a large auditorium, and a large lunch room with adjoining kitchen.
