Former Israeli paratrooper Rami Reuveni, who saw combat as a reservist during the current Gaza war, will relate how he discovered “light in a dark situation” when he presents his one-man comedy show at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale—The Bayit, 3700 Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx, on Tuesday, September 17 at 8 p.m.

Reuveni, who is a self-employed tour guide in Israel, says he turned to comedy to “bring light and laughter to counter the darkness of war” following 172 days of reserve duty in which he participated in numerous military operations.

He will share his impressions of the war as well as some comical experiences as a soldier, tour guide, former high school teacher, husband and father of four children.

The show is free and voluntary donations will be welcome, with 20% of money collected going to The Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin, who served under Reuveni’s command and was killed in the Second Lebanese War.
