Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

The JEC Lower School community came together this week for a meaningful 9/11 tribute. The day began with an extended morning greet assembly, focusing on unity, kindness and heroism. Several Elizabeth Police Department officers joined a special 9/11 event and shared words of encouragement with the fourth and fifth graders. Rabbi Uzi Beer shared a powerful message about the significance of the day and the incredible unity and rebuilding effort that followed. Students in early childhood and elementary school showed their appreciation by writing heartfelt cards for the police officers and firefighters, while the fifth grade visited the local fire station bearing pastries for local heroes and shared their immense gratitude and well wishes. The JEC Lower School truly felt the power of words as they experienced each program throughout the day.
