Join them this Sunday for an inspiring field day of sports activities and community.
(Courtesy of Kaplen JCCOTP) The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades Guttenberg Center for Special Services is proud to announce the upcoming Chuck Guttenberg Center for the Physically Challenged Special Games on Sunday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This highly anticipated event provides children, teens and adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in a range of athletic activities, as well as socialize with old and new friends.
As part of the day’s festivities, they will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the brand-new Multi-Sport Court, which was made possible through a generous grant from the Inclusive Healthy Communities (IHC) program. The invaluable support of the IHC grant is instrumental in creating spaces that promote health and wellness for people of all abilities, and they are thrilled to unveil this new addition to their campus.
The Kaplen JCC is honored to welcome Rebecca Martin, a representative of the IHC program from Rutgers University, who will join them for the ceremony. Her presence underscores the vital work the IHC program does to foster inclusive, healthy communities across the state.
This special event will highlight the importance of inclusive sports and showcase the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades’ continued dedication to serving individuals with disabilities through their Guttenberg Center for Special Services.
