The Humble Toast Sportstar of the Week: Shia Forgash

The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Shia Forgash as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The Torah Academy of Bergen County senior Shia Forgash, won top goalie in the varsity division at Camp Dovid this summer and as a 10th grader he was starting goalie for TABC JV hockey and won co-MVP of the 2023 MYHSAL JV hockey championship. When asked about his former goalie, TABC JV hockey coach Tzvika Poleyeff told The Jewish Link, “Shia showed great growth from freshman year to sophomore year. He was ready to take the reins as the starting goalie right when the season started. His resilience and hard work showed itself, as we went undefeated and Shia was awarded co-MVP of the championship game.”
