This year’s freshman art class opened with an exciting introduction to the foundational concepts of values and shading. The girls learned the skills of observing light and shadow and now have a better understanding of how these elements bring depth and dimension to their artwork. Through hands-on-exercises, freshmen will continue exploring how these variations in tone can change the perception of space and form and they are looking forward to a year full of artistic growth and creativity.
