Over five dozen community members gathered at the Young Israel of East Brunswick on Sunday, Sept. 22 for a solemn commemoration of the victims of the Oct 7 massacre in Israel. Organized by the YIEB Israel Advocacy Committee and the Wasser Jewish Learning Institute, the event featured a talk by Rabbi Yaakov Wasser, the recitation of Tehillim led by Rabbi Yehoshua Hess, memorial candle lightings by teens in the shul, and words of reflection by event coordinator Judy Goldrich.
