In STEAM at RYNJ, grades three to five began the school year with the challenge of building a tower in groups. Using limited materials, students needed to build the tallest freestanding structure with a marshmallow at the top. Throughout the challenge, students learned through trial and error that sometimes expectations must be adjusted, and that how we interact with one another often determines the success or failure of our group.
