Tenafly Chabad Academy had a visit from the Shofar Factory this week. The children learned all about how a shofar is made.They even got to help use a drill to hollow out the shofar. The children learned the differences between a kosher and a non-kosher shofar and learned about which animal’s horns can be used for a shofar. The children were very relieved to learn that it does not hurt the animal when their horns are taken for a shofar and that the horns do grow back. Now they are even more excited to hear the shofar in shul!
